WINTER....

Well it's snowing, I will not fish today. Iwill get ready for some serious fly tying, by collecting all the materials I will need. Then begin by making a list of the flies I need, and get tying in early winter to pass the long, cold winter months! Hope to fish later in the week, or maybe take some turns on the hill. If your in the need of some tying materials check out http://blueribbonflies.com/ Guys there have great stuff!!

The Juan

I woke to 25 deg. temps on thursday morning. But pushed on to the mighty San Juan river. Got to the water above Texas hole to find a blanket of mayflys! Took only a few minutes to hook my first fish on a size 22 parachute adams on 5x !! The day only got better, this hog was my last fish of the day...

FALL

Some thing I love about this time of year! Maybe the autumn foliage, or the crisp mornings. Less people on the stream. enjoy it now winter is ahead!

Summer

What a great summer in southwest Colorado. The high county flyfishing was top notch!

Hunting Camp

We had the truck loaded, off to Fish Creek for the weekend. But we roll up to see that Hunting camp has taking over! What can you do?
Norah found a rock to start her climbing career. Got a little fishing in, but the days are going fast for the high country.

Spud Lake

Norah and mom enjoying the hike to Spud Lake. We couldn't of had better weather.
Nestled high in the San Juan mountains lay Spud Lake. Just off the the main road you can find yourself on the way to what some call heaven! The lake is filled with plenty of brookies, but I left the flyrod back home on this trip. Getting out with the family is priceless..
